How do Scheduled Access Periods work?

Scheduled Access Periods: auto answer for your buzzer.

Updated over 3 months ago

Having a party and want to stay off your phone, or expecting a home-sharing guest but don't want to wait up for the buzzer call? Scheduled Access Periods answer the door for you when you can't, or don't want to.

Scheduled Access Periods (Auto Answer) can be created at any time from your Buzzly dashboard. You simply determine a start date/time and an end date/time, and Buzzly will take care of the rest.Β

While a schedule is active, Buzzly will prevent all buzzer calls from being forward to your phone and instead, will answer each buzz and open the door for your guests right away. You'll receive an email letting you know that a Scheduled Access Period was triggered and that Buzzly opened the door.

Heads up: While active, Schedules will provide immediate access to guests when they dial your buzzer. You are responsible for ensuring that schedules are restricted in order to limit access and usage. For a more restrictive option, consider Virtual Fobs.

Scheduled Access Periods can be created in advance and deleted at any time. They'll wait patiently until their time has come before activating.Β
